  • Small groups for a relaxed and personal experience
  • Possibility to rent ski touring equipment on request
  • Accommodation options available when requested (subject to availability)

Overview

A full day of ski touring in the Brenta and Dolomites, choosing the area with the best snow and conditions for that moment. The mountains here offer a mix of open slopes, quiet valleys and the distinctive limestone scenery that makes this region so special.

This experience is ideal for skiers who know the basics of touring and want a well organised, easygoing day with a guide — without pressure, and with plenty of time to enjoy the turns.

We start the morning with a quick coffee, look at the conditions together and head into the mountains. The pace is comfortable, and we take the time to choose the best line for the day. The general objective or summit can be agreed with the group in advance, but we keep the final choice flexible so we can follow the best snow and the conditions of the day.

No rush: the goal is to move well, enjoy the terrain and have fun on skis.

As always in Italy, good food and friendly hospitality naturally become part of the day — maybe a simple stop in a hut or a relaxed drink once we are back in the valley.

A full day outside, good snow, Dolomite views and the pleasure of skiing in a beautiful place — built around good decisions, solid judgement and simply enjoying the mountains.

Itinerary

  1. Day 1
Example ski touring options around Val di Fassa and Madonna di Campiglio

On this flexible ski touring day we choose the final objective based on snow, avalanche conditions and the level of the group. Here are a few realistic examples of tours we often use around Val di Fassa, Madonna di Campiglio and Campo Carlo Magno:

    • Val Lastié – Dolomiti del Sella (Val di Fassa)

A classic and very scenic Dolomites tour. From the Pian Trevisan area above Canazei we skin into Val Lastié, a wide and gentle valley framed by the Sella walls. The ascent follows moderate slopes (about 700–900 m of elevation gain), with excellent views and often very good snow thanks to the favourable exposure. A perfect, truly Dolomite-style tour for intermediate groups.

    • Val Gelada – Bocca dei Tre Sassi (Brenta)

A beautiful, more “mountain” style tour starting from the Fortini / Campo Carlo Magno area and entering Val Gelada. We climb gentle valleys and steeper slopes towards Bocca dei Tre Sassi, with roughly 900–1,000 m of ascent. Often excellent snow thanks to the northerly aspect and a real Brenta atmosphere away from the crowds.

    • Cima Roma from Passo Grostè (Brenta)

Reached from the top station of the Grostè lift, this tour follows rolling terrain and a final climb to the panoramic summit of Cima Roma. A moderate ski tour with a real summit feeling and wide views over the Brenta range and the surrounding peaks.

These are just examples: the final choice for the day is confirmed together with the group shortly before the trip, once we have the latest weather and avalanche information. Our goal is always the same: pick the option that offers the safest conditions and the most enjoyable skiing for the group.

Requirements

  • Basic ski touring experience
Participants should already know the essentials of ski touring: using skins, maintaining a steady uphill pace, and skiing safely off-piste on ungroomed snow. No steep or technical terrain is expected on this trip.
  • Ability to ski off-piste in variable snow
You should feel comfortable skiing in mixed and ungroomed snow conditions (powder, crust, spring snow). We adapt the terrain to the level of the group.
  • Good general fitness
A typical day includes around 600–900 metres of ascent at an easy, steady pace. You don’t need to be fast, but you should be able to stay on the move for several hours.
  • Mandatory avalanche safety equipment
Each participant must carry an avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe. These can be rented on request if needed.
  • Weather-appropriate clothing & personal equipment
Participants must bring adequate winter mountain clothing (layers, gloves, goggles, shells), a backpack 25–35 L, snacks and water/thermos. A full equipment list is provided upon booking.
